What happens when you stop reporting a KPI?

Interesting observation: if you stop reporting a KPI, everyone will assume (usually correctly) a negative development:

“If performance has not been up to par, the worst thing you can do is to try to cover it up. You’re not fooling anyone. Explain the factors behind the performance and what the company is doing to address the situation.”
